Outrigger Bearing Housings For applications demanding high radial loads, such as ‘’V’’ belt drives etc., JBJ offer a range of outrigger bearing housings. These outriggers transfer the radial load from the engine rear main bearing to the shaft support bearing located in the housing. Most outrigger housings consist of type BD overcentre bellhousing and input shaft, with coupling in place of clutch, and therefore closely resemble BD units, but without operating lever. Overall, and shaft dimensions are per the equivalent BD clutch unit. Some special versions with reduced overall length may be offered.
