Ensure that the clutch is adjusted correctly. If the lever requires a little effort to engage or if the clutch begins to slip, adjust immediately as follows: To adjust the clutch: set the lever in the release position. Remove the inspection cover (A19) and rotate clutch until the spring loaded pin (A36) becomes accessible. Depress the lock pin and turn the adjuster ring (34) clockwise to the next groove. Move the lever to engage clutch, if only slight resistance is felt return lever to release and repeat adjustment procedure.
